I had the opportunity to try the Frylow System in my Fryers and was able to extend the fryer oil life from 6 days to 14 days. This product is very impressive and will take only a short period of time to pay for itself, based on the product savings.

We purchased our Frylow on January 13th 2009 and placed in our fryer when our oil was 10 days old (the limit for this oil). I did not change the oil until February 1st! We are getting 29 to 30 days out of our oil and cook at 325 degrees - down from 350. We even cook meat in our fryer which is very degrading to oil and still get more than double the life from our oil. Our savings in propane has been substantial as well. Our customers consistently tell us our fried foods are tastier! As the cook, I appreciate the lack of smoke from the oil. I am sold on my Frylow, it paid for itself the 1st month we had it!

The FryLow performs exactly as advertised! It's not often that I get to say that about a new product! We have been using a FryLow in our fryers for the last several weeks. The improvments are dramatic to say the least. The life of our oil has more than doubled and we've dropped the temperature on our fryers by about 30 degrees. This has required a bit of re-training involving our kitchen staff as no matter how dark the oil appears, the food just keeps coming out light & crispy! As an added bonus, they love having to change the oil only half as often!!With the price of cooking oil and natural gas constantly on the rise it only makes sense to use the FryLow System in your kitchen. It will save you money from the first day it is installed!

Installing the Frylow

Please read the following instructions carefully before installation:

First check the temperature of your hot oil with a Candy/Jelly Deep-Fry gauge or a thermometer to note the current cooking temperature. Then lower the temperature of the oil to between 335 to 340 Fahrenheit or 168 to 170 Celsius. However, if you are already cooking at these lower temperatures, then you should turn the temperature down even more to 325 to 330 Fahrenheit, or 162 to 165 Celsius. Wait until the oil temperature has cooled down to the lower temperature before inserting the Frylow into the oil. The Frylow can now be installed at the front, back, side or in-between the burners of the deep fryer. Ensure that the unit does not interfere with the cooking baskets before securing it. Once you've decided on the right position, use the stainless-steel arms provided and bend them over the side wall of the deep fryer to ensure that the unit does not tip over. Make sure the arms are in a position that makes it simple to remove the Frylow for easy cleaning. The Frylow is normally installed in a vertical position, but may also be submerged in the oil in a horizontal position if there's no vertical space - both positions work fine. The Frylow will also work fine if it's not totally submerged in the oil, as long as 90% is submerged.

Results

Your Frylow will start producing results within minutes. However, you must first ensure that the oil temperature cools down to the recommended cooking temperature before inserting the Frylow into the oil. After the temperature has been reduced, try frying some food in the oil with the Frylow installed. The food will come out crispier and lighter in color.

Note: It's not the color of the oil that determines when the oil needs changing - it's the color and taste of the food. The oil with the Frylow in it can be really dark, but the food still tastes great!

Cleaning the Frylow

Your Frylow should be cleaned on a daily basis. Simply remove the Frylow from the deep fryer when the oil is at room temperature, and rinse it on both sides under very hot water while shaking the unit back and forth for about 2 minutes. This will remove any cooking particles that may have been lodged in the unit, and will ensure optimum performance and a long working life. Once the unit is clean, let it drip dry for a few minutes before reinstallation, so as to avoid spattering that may occur if installing directly into hot oil. If necessary, use paper towels to dry any excess water that may still be dripping from the spheres inside. Even if installing in oil that is room temperature or cool to the touch, ensure the unit is still dry. Cleaning your Frylow will remove caked oil residue and food particles, and regular cleaning on a daily basis as described above is required to ensure optimum performance and a long useful life. We also recommend you put the Frylow in a pot of boiling water twice a month for about 5 minutes until all the excess oil rises to the top from the spheres. Never attempt to clean Frylow with any chemical, soap or detergents!

Warranty on the Frylow

The Frylow has a three year limited warranty. The unit is guaranteed to withstand high temperatures without the stainless steel casing or ceramic spheres inside breaking down. Proper cleaning and maintenance is required, as described above. If the spheres break down, or the stainless steel casing corrodes to such a degree as to inhibit operation within the 3 years, the manufacturers will first assess the unit for any misuse or tampering to determine whether or not repair or replacement is warranted. In the unlikely case your Frylow has encountered any of the above problems, please send the unit along with proof and date of purchase to the following address for pre-inspection and possible repair or replacement (shipping and handling are the responsibilities of the client. Allow 6-8 weeks) :
